There are a pair of stakes races we’ll be looking to make some money on Sunday:
1. Spotlight Race:
Race 9- $250,000 Bowling Green Stakes (G2T) at 5:45pm ET
What to do with a $20 Bet:
$4 trifecta: #2 Silver Knott to finish first, #4 English Conqueror to come second, and either #1, #3, #5 #6, #7 to finish third
The Reason:
Silver Knott appears to be the likely winner, but Woodbine-based English Conqueror is no slouch. Let’s hope they finish one-two, and we get a longer shot across the wire for third.
2. Spotlight Race:
Race 9- $250,000 Eddie Read Stakes (G2T) at 9:00pm ET
What to do with a $20 Bet:
$1 exacta box: #2 (Master Piece), #3 (Gold Phoenix), #4 (Easter) and #7 (Du Jour)
$8 to place on #2 Master Piece
The Reason:
An outstanding, must-see race, featuring several win candidates. We’ll try to get a pair of decent-priced turfers to finish one-two.
