The Reason:
Was demoted to second in her debut after crossing the wire first by nearly nine lengths. Not sure we get the 3-1 Opening Line odds – and we need a good break from the gate – but let’s hope the dark bay filly has a cleaner trip and less drama in her second start.
$250,000 Maxfield Stakes
Race 10, 5:27pm ET
What to do with a $20 Bet in the Maxfield Stakes:
$10 to win and $10 place on #1 Ancient World
The Reason:
This race is about as wide open as it gets. With that in mind, let’s try to get a longshot (12-1 in the Opening Line) home in this seven-furlong dash. Don’t love the post, but if Luis Saez can play his cards right, Ancient World could give us a nice payout.
